A public relations practician and pioneer from early 90s when the local specialists were begining to understand and implement PR theory and practice in Romania. I had the honour and the priviledge to work along and learn from the first experts in this field and I worked with the first in-house PR shop created for a public institution, The PR Department at the Ministry of Defense. It was this very structure that was used as a role model for organizing the communication activity in all public institutions. I graduated a lot of couses in the PR field, especially abroad (USA, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany) in order to learn from the know-how and experince of my coleagues from different countries where the PR already had a history. In 2008 I took my PhD degree with a thesis on the management of social influencing during modern conflicts. I had the chance to put my knowledge into practice working my way up the ladder in PR organizations up to the position of deputy director of the PR Departement at the MoD, or communications conciler for the Ministry of Labour. I organized and lead press centers and communication activities both in the country and abroad, including in international missions lead by UN (UNOSOM II, Somalia) or by NATO (SFOR, Bosnia and Herzegovina). I shared my expertise and experience with many generations of students as I had been an associated professor with the PR and Communication Faculty since the year 2000. My aspirations revolve around the ideea of consolidating and developing, with my students, the field of communication and PR in Romania. My motto is inspired by the philosophy of Rene Descartes (dubito, ergo cogito, ergo sum) and might be summarized by a contemporary expression: question everything!
